Why Take IELTs?

Almost all major universities now accept IELTS score. The minimum score requirement that universities have might vary from 6.0 to 8.0 (depending on the college and department one is applying to). Yes, the minimum IELTS score requirements can vary even within a department. For Non-English native speakers, IELTS (or TOEFL) is the first step to getting started with their education in the US. There are still many programs that DO NOT accept IELTS. It is for this reason that one should make sure to check with the target course/college before taking the IELTS Exam. Remember that IELTS is to prove one's proficiency in English, and it will not replace GRE/GMAT/SAT/ACT requirements.
